Dr Roland Höllhumer completed his Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Pretoria before continuing his specialist training in Ophthalmology with the College of Medicine of South Africa. He has a Master of Medicine, Master of Business Administration and Doctorate of Philosophy with the University of the Witwatersrand and has completed a fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment Disease at the Sydney Eye Hospital. His primary interest is in the management of corneal blindness. He is the head of the corneal unit at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital and medical director at The Cornea Foundation.
